(a)&(b): The Government (in the Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries) is
not proposing to introduce new special schemes specifically for the economic
upliftment of women but is considering to strengthen the existing schemes
like Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Yojana and Rural Employment Generation
Programme for increasing the coverage of women beneficiaries in XI Plan
through special efforts.
