(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. In pursuance of the Government’s vision of “Housing for All” by 2022, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) [PMAY(U)] since 25.06.2015 for providing assistance to States/ Union Territories (UTs) for addressing the housing requirement in urban areas. States/UTs have undertaken demand survey under the scheme for assessing actual demand of housing and validated demand so far is around 112 lakhs.
Based on the project proposals received so far from the States/UTs, total 103,61,738 houses have been sanctioned under the Scheme; out of this 61,57,734 are at various stages of construction and 32,15,926 have been completed/delivered.

(d) This Ministry regularly monitors the progress of implementation of the scheme through periodic review meetings/video-conferencing with the concerned States/UTs. Officers of this Ministry as well as Program Management Unit (PMU) set up under PMAY (U) Mission regularly undertake field level visits to monitor the Scheme. In addition to this, the Ministry, at various for a such as Review meetings, Workshops/Conferences, Central Sanctioning & Monitoring Committee (CSMC) meetings etc. and through correspondence, has requested States/UTs to expedite the construction of houses approved under the PMAY(U) and also to get the project proposals for all their remaining demand of houses sanctioned by March/April, 2020 so that construction of all houses may progressively be completed by 2022.
