Question : Survey Conducted by ASI in Rajasthan

(a) whether any survey has been conducted by Archaeological Survey of India in all the districts of Rajasthan including Alwar district;

(b) if so, the report presented in this regard;

(c) whether the Archaeological Survey of India will conduct survey in all
the districts of Rajasthan with new methodology; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) Yes, Sir. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) regularly conducts archaeological survey in Rajasthan and in the Alwar district as well. During last three years 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20, Rajgarh and Malakhera tehsils of Alwar district were surveyed wherein 78 villages were found with archaeological remains. The details are at Annexure I.

(c) & (d) Yes, Sir. Archaeological survey is a continuous process. ASI carries out it through conventional methods as well as latest scientific instruments and technologies such as GPS, GPR, GIS, Satellite Imagery, Remote Sensing, etc. wherever necessary.
