Question : FILMS BANNED BY CENSOR BOARD

(a) the number and the names of films and documentaries were banned by the Censor Board during the last one year till-date, State-wise;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether producers, directors of the films and documentaries have opposed the move;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a) and (b) The Central Board of Film Certification certifies films in accordance with the Cinematograph Act 1952. The CBFC is not empowered to ban any films.
