(a): No, Sir. No question to record caste status in the census forms (Household Schedule) was canvassed at the Census of India 2001. However, a question was canvassed to record Scheduled Caste status in case of those persons belonging to the Scheduled Caste as per the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 as amended from time to time.
(b): Question does not arise.
