Question : Encroachment on DDA Land

Will the Minister of URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land which is under encroachment, location-wise;

(b) the details of the land leased out by the DDA to Government agencies/departments, location-wise;

(c) whether DDA does not have their complete land details/records;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(e) whether DDA land is still being encroached in connivance with the DDA officials;

(f) if so, the investigation made by the Government in this regard and the outcome thereof; and

(g) the steps taken by the Government to digitalise the DDA land record and make it encroachment free?

(a): Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that approximately 1,451.3 acres of DDA land falling in various zones of DDA i.e. North, East, West, Rohini, South East and South West zones, is under encroachment.

(b): DDA has informed that it has leased out land at various parts of Delhi to Government Agencies / Departments, as per following details:

(c) & (d): DDA has informed that they have complete land records.

(e) & (f): No, Madam.

(g): DDA has taken the following steps:
i. The record of acquired land of 240 villages of Delhi is available in the form of Digitalised Syzra Maps/ Massavies and Khasras.
ii. ‘’Bhumi Software’ of DDA contains land records in digital form.
iii. DDA has launched mobile app through which photographs of vacant land are taken periodically and uploaded on DDA server. The encroachment if any, detected through uploaded photographs or through physical verification of site, are removed immediately.
