(a) whether the Government has received any proposal from Government of Tamil Nadu for setting up a multi-modal treatment of Cancer patients in the Government Medical College Hospital in Kanyakumari;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which the proposal is likely to be cleared?

(a) to (c): A grant of Rs. 3.00 crore is provided to Government Medical Colleges/Hospitals for Development of Oncology Wing under the National Cancer Control Programme. A proposal seeking financial assistance for Medical College Hospital in Kanyakumari under the scheme from Government of Tamil Nadu is yet to be received by this Ministry.
