(a) Whether the Government has launched any scheme for giving incentive to employment of the private sector for giving employment to persons with disabilities;
(b) if so ,the detail therefore;
(c) the number of persons given employment under this scheme as on date, State- wise and
(d) the efforts made to provide necessary job reservation to the persons with disabilities in the private institutions and the outcome thereof ?

(a) & (b ): The scheme of giving incentives to employers, for providing employment to persons with disabilities in the private sector was launched in the year 2008-09. Under the scheme, payment of employer’s contribution towards the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) for the first three years, is made by the Government of India, in respect of persons with disability appointed in the private sector on or after 1st April, 2008 to a post carrying monthly emoluments of up to Rs.25, 000.
(c): State-wise details of EPF & ESIC beneficiaries with disability appointed up to 30.09.2014 is placed at Annexure A and B respectively.
(d): As per the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995, the provision of reservation in job for persons with disabilities is applicable to Government/public sector only.
