(a) whether incidents of firing in the courts oftently occur in the absence of
adequate security arrangements;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the number of persons killed in these incidents
during the last three years and till date, State-wise; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to improve security arrangements in the courts?

(a) to (c) Maintenance of law and order in the courts is the responsibility of the
State Governments. Accordingly, the information has been sought from the State Governments
and the same will be laid on the Table of the House.
