(a) whether the Government is contemplating to set up new broadcasting kendras for the purpose of providing broadcasting facilities in far-flung and remote areas of the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise and location-wise; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): Projects have been approved for setting up of new AIR FM Broadcasting Kendras in far-flung and remote areas of the country as mentioned in Annexure and also for setting up of 5 new television high power transmitters at Green Ridge, Patnitop, Rajouri (2 transmitters, one each for DD National & DD News) in Jammu & Kashmir and at Himbotingla in Ladakh.
