Question : Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Remote Areas

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has empanelled hospitals under Ayushman Bharat Scheme throughout the country, if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government proposes to empanel more hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in urban and rural areas and also the remote areas of the country, if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has issued guidelines to the hospitals regarding this scheme, so as to avoid inconvenience to the beneficiaries, if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the concrete communication between the Ministry and the empanelled hospitals to avoid inconvenience to the prospective beneficiaries?

ANSWER

(a): As on 25.11.2019, 19,668 hospitals, (10,574 public and 9,094 private) are empanelled under Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).The state-wise details are at Annexure.

(b): Under AB-PMJAY, all public hospitals (Community Health Centre and above), in the States implementing the scheme, are deemed empanelled.

Further, State Governments, through State Health Agencies, empanel private hospitals within their jurisdiction based on the defined criteria and hospital empanelment guidelines to provide care to beneficiaries.

In the aspirational districts, 10% incentive on the base package rate is provided to the hospitals empanelled under PMJAY.

(c) & (d): All empanelled hospitals and respective stakeholders are provided trainings to make them familiar with the procedures & guidelines on implementation of AB-PMJAY.
