(a) whether the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) at Bangalore is engaged in building some fighter aircrafts;
(b) if so, the details of the aircrafts and other major project in hand as on date;
(c) whether HAL is manufacturing any aircraft to meet the optimum requirement of civil, military and cargo transport; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) Among the fighter aircraft in HAL`s product range are MiG-27M, Jaguar Fighter Aircraft, Kiran Trainer Aircraft, and Cheetah/Chetak helicopters. Major projects in hand are those of Intermediate Jet Trainer and the Advanced Light Helicopter.
(c) Yes, Sir.
(d) HAL is building the Dornier-228 aircraft for both civil and military transport.
