Question : Tax Evasion by e-Commerce Companies

Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:

(a) whether a prominent online shopping company eBay is arranging the Apple phones from abroad for its customers and selling these only on order statement and not giving any bills to its customer leading to tax evasion, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government proposes to take action against such company;
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(d) whether the Government has started any helpline number regarding complaints against online companies; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(d) & (e) There is no separate helpline for receiving complaints, but there are two other helplines (CBEC Mitra and GSTN Helpline) for resolution of taxpayers’ issues including complaints, if any.
