(a): The Government of India is implementing Sub-Mission on Agro-Forestry Scheme (‘Har Med Par Pedh’) since 2016-17 in those States that have liberalized felling and transit-regulations. Presently, the scheme is being implemented in 23 States/UTs viz. Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland and 2 UTs viz. Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The scheme is implemented to encourage agroforestry i.e. tree plantation on farm land along with crops/ cropping system to help the farmers get additional income and make their farming system more climate resilient and adaptive.
Above scheme is under implementation since FY 2017-18 covering all the districts of the State.
