ANSWER

(a): The number of Unani/Siddha Hospitals and Dispensaries functioning in the country, State/UT-wise including under Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) and other Central Government Organizations as on 01.04.2018 is furnished at Annexure-I.
(b): The number of patients visited Government Health Care facilities under Unani and Siddha as per the data available for the years 2015-16 to 2017-18 is furnished at Annexure-II. However, Public Health being a State subject, allocation of fund for Unani/Siddha medicine centres comes under purview of respective State/UT Governments.
(c) & (d): Public Health being a State subject, opening of Unani/Siddha medicine centres comes under the purview of respective State/UT Governments. However, under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM), there is provision of financial assistance for upgradation of standalone Government AYUSH dispensaries for which financial assistance is being provided to States/UTs. The number of units approved with financial assistance as per proposal received through State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) for upgradation of standalone Government AYUSH dispensaries including Unani/Siddha systems during the last three years, State/UT-wise is furnished at Annexure-III. No Grant-in-aid released during 2019-20.
(e) & (f): Government of India is implementing National AYUSH Mission in the country for promotion and development of AYUSH systems including Unani and Siddha systems.
The National AYUSH Mission inter-alia makes provision for the following:-
(i) Co-location of AYUSH facilities at Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs) and Districts Hospitals (DHs) including Unani and Siddha systems of medicine.
(ii) Up gradation of exclusive State Government AYUSH Hospitals and Dispensaries including Unani and Siddha systems of medicine.
(iii) Setting up of up to 50 bedded integrated AYUSH Hospital including Unani and Siddha systems of medicine.
(iv) Upgradation of State Government Under-Graduate and post-Graduate Educational Institutions including Unani and Siddha systems of medicine.
(v) Setting up of new State Government AYUSH Educational Institutions including Unani and Siddha systems of medicine in the State where it is not available.
State/UT Governments may avail eligible financial assistance by projecting the same through State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) as per NAM guideline.
