Question : NISHTHA in Bihar

(a) the total number of Teachers trained under the National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) training programme during last two years in Bihar and especially Kishanganj; and
(b) the details with regard to the concentration of such trained teachers across Bihar, especially Kishanganj?

(a) & (b): The Department of School Education and Literacy launched a National Mission to improve learning outcomes at the Elementary level through an Integrated Teacher Training Programme called NISHTHA – National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement on 21st August, 2019. This was launched in the online mode on DIKSHA platform on 6th October, 2020.
Further, NISHTHA 2.0 for secondary/senior secondary level teachers was launched on 29th July, 2021 and NISHTHA 3.0- Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) in online mode on DIKSHA platform for teachers and school heads of pre-primary to class V was launched on 7th September, 2021. Module-wise number of Teachers trained under NISHTHA 1.0, NISHTHA 2.0 and NISHTHA 3.0 training programme in Bihar and Kishanganj till 15th March, 2022 are given at Annexure-I, Annexure-II and Annexure-III respectively.
