(a) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has informed that new telecom circles are formed keeping in view operational requirements.
(b) &(c) Since its formation in 2000, BSNL has bifurcated North-East Telecom circle into two Circles viz. North-East-I & North East-II and has created separate Telecom Circles for Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh.
BSNL has informed that at present, there is no proposal under its consideration to form a new telecom circle.
