(a) to (c): Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)- UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) on 21-10-2016 to enhance regional air connectivity from unserved and underserved airports in the country by making air travel affordable to the masses. States of North Eastern Region (NER) have been included in the Scheme Document as Priority Area(s). Till date, 780 routes have been awarded under UDAN including routes in the North Eastern Region and 359 UDAN routes have been operationalized. So far, UDAN flights from Passighat, Rupsi, Jorhat, Lilabari, Tezpur, Shillong, Dimapur and Pakyong in NER have been operationalized by the Selected Airline Operators (SAOs).
