(a) whether the Government propose to allot the land to landless people in rural areas who fall below poverty line on priority basis;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has made any study of shelter-less households in the country;
(d) if so, the details thereof, State-wise; and
(e) the time limit by which these shelter-less will be provided land?

(a & b) Land and its management fall within the exclusive legislative and administrative jurisdiction of the States as provided in Entry No. 18 of List II (State List) to the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India. The Union Government plays only an advisory and coordinating role in this field.
(c & d) No such studies have been made by the Ministry of Rural Development, (
e) Land is a State subject.
