(a) the total quantum of foodgrains procured by the Food Corporation of India and other Government agencies
from West Bengal, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu during the last three years, year-wise
and agency-wise; and
(b) the details of the quantity and the value of the foodgrains procured through de-centralised procurement system in the said States for distribution under Targeted Public Distribution System and other welfare schemes
during the last three years?

(a): The year-wise and agency-wise details of total quantum of rice, wheat and coarsegrains procured by the
Food Corporation of India and other Government agencies from West Bengal, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra
and Tamil Nadu during the last three marketing seasons and the current Kharif Marketing Season 2006-07 are at Annexure-I,
II and III respectively.
(b): The details of the quantity and the value of the foodgrains procured through de-centralized procurement
system in the said States for distribution under Targeted Public Distribution System and other welfare schemes
during the above marketing seasons are at Annexure-IV.
