(a) whether ONGCL has used its depleted fields for carbon dioxide storage for reducing pollution and if so, the details and future plans for the same; and
(b) whether Carbon Dioxide injection has been done by ONGCL for increasing oil production from its fields and if so, the details and future plans for the same?

(a) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGCL) has not used any of its fields for carbon dioxide storage. However, the CO2 injection for enhancing oil production is a promising area, and ONGC evaluates new technologies to meet its oil and gas production needs.
(b) ONGCL has not injected Carbon Dioxide in any of its fields for increasing oil production.
