Question : Logistical Support to United States Military

(a) whether any Indian public or private company has signed agreement / MoU to provide logistical support to the USA military within Indian territory;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the MoU will maintain the vessels of the USA Seventh Fleet involving 100 vessels operating in the Indian Ocean and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) whether the signing of this agreement is a follow up to the Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) signed between India and USA in August 2016 and if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): No such agreement / MoU has been signed by any Indian public company. However, Government has seen media reports regarding such an arrangement announced by an Indian private company.
(d) This reported arrangement has no connection with the Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) signed between India and the USA.
