(a): State-wise information on reserves/resources of minerals is given in the Indian Minerals Year Book, published by the Indian Bureau of Mines, a copy of which is supplied to the Parliament Library on regular basis.

(b): The number of mines (provisional) allotted to private/public sector as on 1.4.2008 is given below:
