MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS
(SHRI RAJEN GOHAIN)
(a) to (c) No, Madam. Introduction of a new train service between Udaipur City and Kanniyakumari is not feasible at present, due to operational and resource constraints including line capacity constraints on several sections enroute and terminal constraints at Kanniyakumari.
However, introduction of new trains is an ongoing process in Indian Railways subject to traffic justification, operational feasibility, commercial validity, availability of resources, etc.
