(a) whether the Government is planning to provide funds under HEFA to support Central University of Odisha, Koraput to rebuild the University;
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not reasons therefor; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to address vacancies of teaching staff in CUO, Koraput?

(a)& (b): As per the Revised Cost Estimates (RCE) approved by the Cabinet in its meeting held on 16.01.2019, the Central University of Odisha has been sanctioned an amount of Rs. 481.24 crore (Rs. 289.65 crore Non-Recurring + Rs. 191.59 crore Recurring) for establishment of permanent campus of the University. So far, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has released an amount of Rs. 313.67 crore (Rs. 113.92 crore Recurring and Rs. 199.75 crore Non-Recurring) upto 2020-21. An amount of Rs. 129.79 crore has been sanctioned by the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA) to the Central University of Odisha for infrastructure development.
(c): The Central University of Odisha being a statutory autonomous body, is fully competent to fill up the vacancies of teaching posts. The University has informed that 87 Teaching posts have been advertised.
