Question : VENDORS OF ORDNANCE FACTORIES

(a) whether Ordnance Factory Board have taken a decision to re-check the credentials of all the vendors registered with the factories;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether such check shall include a one time check of the owners of the firms, their addresses and other details, importantly their manufacturing capacity by site visits / inspections;

(d) whether the OFB place a list of all such vendors with all details about their ownership, nature of business in its website;

(e) if so, the details thereof; and

(f) if not, the reasons thereof?

(a) to (c): Yes, Madam. All Ordnance Factories have been directed to re-check the credentials of all the vendors registered with the factories for weeding out fictitious firms. Such check would include one time check of the owners of the firms, their address and other details and most importantly their manufacturing capacity by site visits / inspections.

(d) to (f): Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) has placed a list of vendors with details (like firm’s name, address, contact no., vendor code, product details, registration validity, registration category and firm’s status etc.) on its website.
