1. Shri L.K. Advani Israel,France, 13.06.2000 to Rs. 2,40,480/- The visit has Palestine & 25.06.2000. opened up the United Kingdom. possibility of increased technological, technical and intelligence cooperation between India and Israel. The two sides have agreed to work for early establishment of a Joint Working Group between the two countries. As a result of the visit to France and meeting with their Minister for Interior, France has agreed to support India`s draft UN Resolution against sponsorship of international terrorism. In the United Kingdom, the delegation met Secretary of State for Home and Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and in these meetings India`s concerns over cross border terrorism was discussed in detail. It was agreed that there was an urgent need to build up world opinion against terrorism.
2. Shri L.K. Advani. Germany,Turkey 24.06.2001 to Rs. 2,03,870/- During the and United Arab 3.07.2001. visits to Emirates. Germany,Turkey and UAE, discussions were held on security related issues and other matters of mutual interest. Extradition Treaties were signed with Germany and Turkey. The discussions in UAE focused on issues pertaining to members/leaders of organized criminal gangs taking shelter in/operating from the UAE, and the need for cooperation by the UAE in arresting and extraditing such elements.
