(a), (b) & (c): Yes, Sir. The Government is implementing various programmes / schemes to tap non-conventional energy sources throughout the country, including Karnataka. Financial and fiscal incentives are being provided for setting up various non-conventional energy projects depending upon resource availability and techno-economic viability. No specific project proposal has been received in the Ministry for taping non-conventional energy sources in the Bidar district of Karnataka. The cumulative achievements under various non-conventional energy programmes as on 31.3.2003 in Karnataka are given in Annexure.
