(a) whether the Government has approved the formation of Indian Skill Development Service;
(b) if so, the details thereof, including sanctioned and current strength of the cadre;
(c) whether there is any proposal for creation of more dedicated cadres in the civil services; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?
(a) Yes, Madam.
(b) Government of India has notified Indian Skill Development Service Rules, 2017, vide notification dated 4th January 2017 constituting Indian Skill Development Service (ISDS) which comprises of 263 sanctioned posts and current strength, as on 28/02/2017 is 165.
(c) & (d) As on date there is no such proposal for creation of more dedicated cadre in civil services.
