(a) to (c): To achieve the objective of ‘Housing for All by 2022’ the rural housing scheme Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) has been re-structured into Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) which aims to provide pucca house with basic amenities to all houseless households and households living in houses with kutcha wall and kutcha roof having zero, one or two rooms as per Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC), 2011 in rural areas of the country including Jharkhand. In initial phase one crore houses are proposed to be constructed over a period of three years from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
In the State of Jharkhand, under PMAY-G, out of 19.23 lakh households identified after applying 13 point exclusion criteria on SECC,2011 data, 16.59 lakh households, (as on 17.07.2017) have been verified by Gram Sabha out of which 14.10 lakh households have been found eligible to get financial assistance. Under PMAY-G, target for a period of three years (from 2016-17 to 2018-19) for the State of Jharkhand is 4,80,783 housing units.
As per Framework for Implementation of PMAY-G, the States are required to fix district-wise targets. During the financial years 2016-17 and 2017-18, the State of Jharkhand has allocated targets of 8,385 and 5,340 houses respectively to the district of Dhanbad.
