(a) the number of rail coach factories in the country at present;
(b) the number and details of rail coaches manufactured in the country
during each of the last three years;
(c) whether the rail coaches in the country have been manufactured
more than the target fixed during the current year; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) There are two Rail coach manufacturing factories under the
Ministry of Railways, Integral Coach Factory at Perambur and Rail
Coach Factory, Kapurthala. These Production Units are further
supplemented by one unit in the Public Sector viz. M/s. Bharat
Earthmovers Limited (BEML) at Bangalore and one unit in the Private
Sector M/s. Jessops near Calcutta.
(b) The number and details of rail coaches manufactured during each
of the last three years are as under: -
