Question : National Policy for Grant of Permits for Passenger Buses

(a) whether the Government has a National Policy for grant of permits to ply passenger buses on inter-State routes across the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) if not, whether the Government proposes to introduce such a policy ; and

(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) to (b) : No Sir.

(c) to (d): Ministry of Road Transport & Highways had issued a draft notification for amendment to Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 proposed to be called as Motor Vehicles (All India Tourist Vehicles Authorisation and Permit) Rules, 2018 through GSR 873(E) , dated 12th September, 2018.
