(a) whether recruitment in the Delhi Police from other States has been banned;
(b) if so, the time since when the recruitment has been banned alongwith the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Police Commission had recommended that fifty per cent of recruitment in the Delhi Police should be made from other States; and
(d) if so, the time by which the said recommendation is going to be implemented?

(b): Does not arise.
(c) & (d): No, Sir. However, the Bureau of Police Research & Development has in it study on the manpower requirements of Delhi Police recommended that people from all parts of the country should be encouraged to get recruited in adequate numbers in Delhi Police. This practice is already being followed in Delhi Police.
