(a) whether some schemes are being implemented by his Ministry with the assistance of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs);

(b) if so, the details of such schemes; and

(c) the names of schemes being implemented in Maharashtra ?

(a) & (b): Yes Sir. The details are as under:

(i) Development of Buddhist/ Tibetan Culture and Art

(ii) Grant-in-aid to voluntary organizations/societies for development and maintenance of national memorials.

(iii) Celebration of Centenaries of Important Personalities.

(iv) Financial Assistance for Preservation and development of the cultural heritage of the Himalayas.

(v) Financial Assistance for Promotion and Dissemination of Tribal/Folk Art and Culture.

(vi) Financial Assistance for Research Support to Voluntary Organisations engaged in cultural activities.

(vii) Financial Assistance for Building and equipment grants to voluntary cultural organization.

(viii) Financial Assistance for Promotion and strengthening of regional and local museums.

(ix) Financial Assistance to Professional Groups and individuals for specified performing art projects.

(c) There is no specific scheme for Maharashtra. Grant-in-aid is being sanctioned under the above schemes on all India basis.
