Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT (SHRI BABUL SUPRIYO)

(a) to (e): Yes Madam. Some officers of CPWD are implicated in corruption cases, including in Maharashtra. The list of officers against whom corruption cases registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation/ Anti Corruption Bureau is at Annexure ’A’ and list of officers against whom charge sheets have been issued by Central Public Works Department from vigilance angle is at Annexure ‘B’.

As per existing system, Agreed list and list of officers of doubtful integrity (DI) is prepared by CVO unit in consultation with CBI every year. The officers figuring in the above lists are shifted from sensitive to non-sensitive posts.

Some of these officers are still working in sensitive posts as detailed in Annexure ‘C’, some due to prosecution sanction being issued after issue of Doubtful Integrity (DI) list. However, some officers have been transferred to non-sensitive posts and in remaining cases orders have been issued to effect necessary transfer to non- sensitive posts.
