(a) A Statement showing the number of De-addiction Centres being funded by this Ministry under the Scheme for Prevention of Alcoholism and Substance (Drugs) Abuse, State-wise is at Annexure-I.
(b) The financial assistance released to grantee organizations under the Scheme for Prevention of Alcoholism and Substance (Drugs) Abuse during the years 98-99, 99-2000 & 2000-01 (till 28.04.2000), is indicated in the statement at Annexure-II.
(c) & (d) As per the existing policy, the Government considers proposals recommended by the State Government concerned/nodal agency for setting-up of De-addiction Centres, in terms of the provisions of the Scheme, and taking into account the need for opening such a centre in the area applied for.
