(a) whether the Government have asked private companies to restart some Public Sector fertilizer units which had been closed down;
(b) if so, the terms and conditions thereof;
(c) whether any company has accepted this proposal; and
(d) if so, the name of the company and the fertilizer units which are likely to be restarted?

(a) to (d): In the light of the Government`s Common Minimum
Programme (CMP), the issue regarding the revival of the closed
Fertilizer Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) is being re-examined
based on market demand and their techno-economic viability.
