(a) to (d): The balanced use of chemical fertilizers along with organic manures has been recommended
for production of various crops, including vegetables. Foliar spray of micronutrients also increases
the yield of vegetable crops. Chemical insecticides, fungicides and weedicides are used to minimize
crop losses due to incidence of insect pests, diseases and weeds.
