(a) to (c): The Government has consistently held the view
that education in India is not regarded as commercial
activity and all educational institutions of India
necessarily have to be set up in the ânot for profitâ mode.
Section 13 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory
Education (RTE) Act, 2009 provides that no school or person
shall,while admitting a child, collect any capitation fee
and subject the child or his or her parents or guardian to
any screening procedure. The RTE Act has come into force
from 1st April, 2010.
