(a) whether several paintings belonging to stone age have been found in Kurnool and Anantpur districts of Andhra Pradesh;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the steps taken by the Government for proper maintenance and preservation of these paintings?

(a) to (c) Several paintings belonging to the stone age have been found in places like Adoni, Bollaram, Kaluvabugga, Kethavaram, Lanjabanda in district Kurnool and Buddagavi, Enugugavi, Murahanda, Nallamada, Tenagal and Velpumadugu in district Anantpur of Andhra Pradesh. Out of these sites only, Kethavaram is under the protection of Government of Andhra Pradesh.
