Question : DEVELOPMENT SCHEME FOR PROMOTION OF INDIAN CULTURE CIVILISATION



(a) the names of the schemes and programmes being run by the Government to promote Indian culture and civilisation both in India and abroad during the last three years till date State-wise and country-wise;

(b) the amount allocated and spent in this regard, year-wise/State-wise; and

(c) the names of schemes and programmes to be launched during 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 to promote Indian civilisation and culture in the country and abroad and amount proposed to be allocated therefor?

(a) to (c) The details of the schemes and programmes, their budgetary allocations and expenditures are contained in the Annual Reports of the Department of Culture. The funds are not earmarked State-wise or country-wise. These Schemes are on-going. No new scheme is proposed to be launched during 2000-2001 or 2001-2002 at present.
