(a) & (b): Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs have informed that there is no report indicating increase in the cases of security breach at Delhi Metro Rail Network. Only one case of breach of security was reported on 01.10.2015. One passenger smuggled a country made pistol inside the Chandni Chowk Metro Station and later shot himself at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. He received minor injury.
(c) : An FIR U/S 336 IPC, 25/27 Arms Act has been registered by Police Station, Delhi Metro Rail Police (DMRP), Yamuna Bank on 1/10/2015. DMRP is investigating the case.
(d) : The steps taken by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to strengthen the security of Metro Rail Network are as below:-
I. The height of side gates, separating unpaid and paid area has been significantly increased to restrict the movement of passengers from side gates.
II. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Unit, DMRC Delhi has deputed spotters in plain clothes at points where there is a possibility of passing the unchecked luggage in the paid area.
III. CISF has prepared a Comprehensive Report on structural/security loopholes and forwarded to DMRC for review and necessary action.
