Question : OUTSTANDING DUES AGAINST AGENTS

(a) whether crores of rupees of the Indian Airlines is outstanding against the ticket agents of the Indian Airlines;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the steps taken by the Indian Airlines to cover the said amount;

(d) whether any action has been taken against the defaulting agents so far;

(e) if so, the details thereof;

(f) whether the Government propose to allot these agencies to the educated unemployed youths; and
(g) if so, the details thereof?

(a) and (b): Indian Airlines has to recover about Rs.3.54 crores from the defaulting agents as on 30th June, 2000.

(c),(d) and (e): The necessary action for recovery of dues has been initiated in all the cases and is at various stages of legal/recovery proceedings.

(f): No, Sir.

(g): Does not arise.
