Question : AYU Samvad

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes to organize a lecture ‘AYU SAMVAD’ by Ayurveda doctors to raise awareness on Ayurveda and COVID-19 pandemic, if so, the details thereof along with objectives/features of the said programme;

(b) the details of the places identified in Kannauj, Etawah, Deoria, Ballia and Gorakhpur districts in Uttar Pradesh and Kurukshetra district in Haryana for organising ‘AYU SAMVAD’ programme; and

(c) the details of the agencies/Government departments which have been given the responsibility of organising ‘AYU SAMVAD’ programme?

(a): Yes. The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), an autonomous organization under the aegis of Ministry of AYUSH is organizing ‘AYU SAMVAD’ “Public Awareness Campaign Program on AYURVEDA and COVID 19 PANDEMIC” with the objective to create awareness to make common people aware of the theme ‘AYU SAMVAD’. This campaign will specifically focus on the Role of Preventive, Promotive, Curative and Rehabilitation in Management of COVID 19 through Ayurveda perspective.


(b) & (c): All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi, organized online training of trainers Programme from 18-21 Jan, 2021 for all state Directors, Principals of Ayurveda Colleges, Medical Officers, PG & Ph.D scholars and other stake holders. The trained personnel’s will further organize lectures for Government Offices, Non-Government sector employees, schools, colleges, panchayati raj institutions, gram sabhas, industries, various housing societies, NGOs, Mahila udyogs, Asha workers and health staff etc. across the nation. No specific places have been identified.
