Question : Air Force Schools

(a) the number of Air Force Schools that are functioning in the country at present, place-wise;

(b) the details of the criteria / points fixed by the Air Force school for admission of LKG / UKG children;

(c) whether school authority has given extra points for children of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) employees and denying the same to Para-military forces and Central Government employees children for admission;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and

(e) whether the Government has enquired the matter for said malpractice and if so, the details thereof and the corrective measures taken / being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) There are 132 Air Force Schools functioning in the country. Details are as under:-

2. However, three Air Force schools viz. Air Force Bal Bharati School, The Air Force School and Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute situated in Delhi are private un-aided schools under aegies of IAF Educational and Cultural society, which used to provide points to children of Army/Navy’/Para Military/ Other Central &State Government and PSU employees in the criteria and scale for admission to UKG classes. The same has been discontinued except to PSUs from the academic session 2016-17, based on the order of Hon’ble Delhi High Court and the circular of the Deptt. of Education, Govt of NCT of Delhi.
