Question : Licences under FCRA to NGOs

(a) whether the Government has granted licences under the Foreign Contributions Regulation Act (FCRA) to NGOs during the last three years;

(b) if so, the details thereof, year-wise and category-wise (religious, cultural, educational);

(c) whether the Government has cancelled any FCRA licences during the said period;

(d) if so, the details thereof, year-wise and category-wise; and

(e) the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) Yes Sir. Details of Registration granted under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010 during the last three years for the three categories (religious, cultural, educational) are as follows:-

(c), (d) & (e) Yes Sir. For violation of various provisions of the FCRA, 2010, the Central Government has cancelled registration certificates of 6676 associations. Year-wise and category-wise details of cancelled FCRA Licences are as under:
