(a): United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific has prepared plan for Trans-Asian
Rail Link (TAR). Southern Corridor of the link proposes to connect South- East Asia to West Asia through India.
(b) &(c): India has ratified TAR. However, operationalisation of the project depends upon ratification by all
concerned countries and hence no timelines can be given at present.
