(a) to (d): The Ministry of Rural Development is implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), Deen Dayal Upadhyaya – Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission and National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) for holistic development of rural areas of the country including Gopalganj of Bihar, through employment generation, strengthening of livelihood opportunities, promoting self-employment, skilling of rural youths, provision of social assistance, infrastructure development etc.
The targets and achievements under various rural development schemes in respect of the State of Bihar including Gopalganj are given at Annexure-I(a) and I(b). In order to ensure the programme benefits reach the rural areas in the country, including the State of Bihar, the Ministry has evolved a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation mechanism for implementation of rural development programmes. The comprehensive system of monitoring and evaluation not only bring out success but also areas which need improvement.
MGNREGS is a demand driven scheme. The total number of persondays generated under MGNREGS in rural areas of the country during 2019-20 (as on 29.11.2019) is 167.38 crore. The persondays targeted for generation in the coming five years is as under:-

Monitoring and evaluation of the rural development programmes is done at multi-level with a multi-tool framework approach through Performance Review Committee Meetings, District Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee named as “DISHA”, National Level Monitors, Area Officers Schemes, Common Review Mission, Concurrent Evaluation and Impact Assessment Studies. Third-Party evaluation of the schemes of the Ministry of Rural Development is also carried out regularly and appropriate actions are undertaken based on its findings.

3) Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G)
Since inception of PMAY-G, Bihar has been given the target of 19,76,617 houses out of which 15,75,996 households have been given the first instalment and 7,28,822 houses have been completed.
4) Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)
The State of Bihar has been sanctioned 18,109 road works measuring length 58,979 Km since inception under various interventions/verticals of PMGSY, out of which 16,158 road works measuring length 51,428 Km has been completed till 28.11.2019.
5) Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS)
MGNREGS is a demand driven scheme. The total number of persondays generated under MGNREGS in the State of Bihar during 2019-20 (as on 29.11.2019) is 8.098 crore.
