ENROLMENT OF SC AND OBC STUDENTS
1238. SHRIMATI NUSRAT JAHAN RUHI:
Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details and the total number of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) students enrolled under coaching classes for different competitive examinations, State-wise;
(b) the details and the total number of SC and OBC students who have passed in the examinations for which they enrolled in coaching class during the last three years, State-Wise; and
(c) the total number of SC students provided with pre-matric scholarship since 2016 till date?

(a) and (b): Under the Free Coaching Scheme for SC and OBC students, available slots are allotted among the institutes empanelled under it. The details of state-wise number of empanelled institutes and total number of students enrolled and passed for different competitive examinations during the last 3 years is attached.
(c): Pre-matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented through State Government/UT administrations. Total number of SC beneficiary students covered under this scheme since 2016, as reported by the States/UT is 127.06 lakhs.
