Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF RAILWAYS AND COMMERCE & INDUSTRY

(SHRI PIYUSH GOYAL)

(a) Yes, Sir. The ‘One Rupee Clinic’ at Thane Railway Station has been established by M/s Magicdil on open tender basis. So far, the performance of Emergency Medical Rooms has been found satisfactory.

(b) to (d): Yes, Sir. As per orders of Hon’ble Bombay High Court, clinics have been established at 24 suburban stations of Mumbai run by non-railway medical professional groups. Such clinics have also been established at 29 other railway stations in the country. These clinics can attend any patient besides rendering emergency medical care to bona-fide railway passengers.
